The presence of saints is real
– Geronda, I would like to see Saint Arsenios.
– Your desire to see Saint Arsenios is risky, because the enemy might present you with a fantasy, and your thoughts will begin to tell you that you supposedly have achieved something, since you were honored with seeing the saint. Then, when you accept this "achieving something," the enemy will use your imagination to constantly play movies in your mind. Therefore, venerate Saint Arsenios, but don't strive to see him. Whether he appears to you or not is his business.
